Partnership with the Lycée Français de Lusaka

Cornerstone of Hope and the Lycée français de Lusaka have formed a partnership between the two schools to share ideas on culture, learning methods between Zambia and France, as the Lycée français de Lusaka is a French school, located in Zambia.

Use any areas to let children learn together

It involves children and their communities, as well as teachers from both schools, in the spirit of collaboration.

Cornerstone of Hope also needs a lot of financial help, as they live on donations. This partnership also helps fund-raising activities.

Hear it from the teachers

For the Lycée Français de Lusaka, the objective was to have a partnership with a local Zambian school to create an educational connection. The idea is to bring two cultures together, to get them to learn and work together, to think in different ways, each bringing its own richness to the other.

It's a really collaborative approach !

We want to make it really solid and sustainable over the long term. It's an educational project between our two schools, so that students can learn from each other, network, help each other and work together. Most importantly, it's about teachers on both sides finding meaning in everything we do, and always, always putting the child at the centre, learning by doing.

I think it's an extraordinary idea because it gives Zambian children the desire to do something for their country, to play a part in their country. What's more, these are children who don't know anything about nature, who have grown up in slums, in poor, very restricted environments, and this will enable them to open up to nature and I think that when your hands and head are open to nature, your heart opens up and anything is possible.

I think that through nature you can heal a lot of wounds, and you can have a lot of projects.
